September 2009
Once again we cry out to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who hears prayer. The World Cup, a football tournament for many nations, will be held in South Africa in 2010. South Africa is right next to Zimbabwe. The SA government is allowing people to go to Zimbabwe and bring back girls, with the promise of a good job. They are even saying girls who come to "work" in South Africa don't need a visa. But these girls will be used and abused in prostitution. The SA government knows that many men want to have a prostitute when they go to the World Cup. So they are getting ready by letting people with evil in their hearts go and get these girls now. Some are age 14 or younger! Many are orphans.
Lord, hear the cry of the poor and fatherless we pray. Stop this evil. Speak to the hearts of the leaders in SA and show them YOUR heart for these children. Arise, O LORD, Do not let man prevail; Let the nations be judged in Your sight.
(Psalm 9:19)
LORD we ask in prayer - we ask You - To do justice to the fatherless and the oppressed, That the man of the earth may oppress no more. Psalm 10:18 LORD Jesus - Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed.
Psalm 82:3
We pray in the name of Jesus, who is YAHWEH, LORD God Almighty.
December 2008
Please pray for the children of Zimbabwe. They are hungry. There is no medicine if they get sick. There is a bad disease called cholera that is spreading.
200 children will be having an Encounter God Camp. Pray that they do encounter, or meet with Jesus. That the word of the Lord which promises them hope and a future will become reality. Pray that the Holy Spirit will be poured out among them and spread across their whole nation.
Come Lord Jesus! Let Your glory fall in that place. Let it go forth from there to the nations. Let Your kingdom come to Zimbabwe's children.
October 2008
There is famine in Zimbabwe; that means many thousands of children are starving. Their parents cannot find food for them. They are digging in the ground to find roots to eat or water to drink.
One man has only 3 tins of maize which will last his 7 children just one week. Then what can he do? The shelves in the stores are empty. There is no milk or cheese, soap or flour. This year's harvest has been the worst anybody can remember. That means very little food, even for themselves let alone to sell to others. The farmers do not even have seeds to plant next year, nor fuel to fill their tractors nor fertilizer to help the plants grow. In one town over 10,000 children have dropped out of school just to look for food. A loaf of bread costs 1 US dollar but 30,000 Zimbabwe dollars. The people are only allowed to take $50,000 out of the bank each day. What would you do if your family could only take $1.67 out of the bank each day and a loaf of bread cost $1. What if there were 8 in your family? What would you do?
June 2008
There is an election coming at the end of June. There is trouble. Things are not fair. People are being beaten and not allowed to vote for who they choose. There is a leader who does not fear the Lord. Many hundreds of thousands of people have no jobs and very little food. Now the leader does not let other countries bring food to help his people.
Please come Lord Jesus - you are King of the whole earth. You have all the power. You raise up Kings and you tear them down. We pray for an end to unrighteousness and injustice in Zimbabwe. We pray for a leader who loves Jesus to come to power in Zimbabwe. We pray for help and your mercy upon the people. We pray for food for the hungry.
We pray for the church in Zimbabwe. Let the people pray. Let them cry out to You for mercy. Fill them with Your Spirit Lord. Have mercy on the orphan children. Have mercy on those who are being beaten and hurt.
Come and make the wrong things right in Zimbabwe, in Jesus Name.
Pray for Zimbabwe
Tatenda is a man with a big heart. He looks after around 170 children who have no moms or dads. The children are AIDS orphans, which means that their parents died of a very harsh sickness called AIDS.
Please pray for Tatenda:- for God the Holy Spirit to come to him and fill him with strength and energy every day.
- that the God of hope, our God and Father, will fill Tatenda with ALL joy and peace as he trusts in Him.
- for miracles of food for the children, for shelter, for clothes, for schooling, and for good health (the Bible says, "My God shall supply all your needs, according to His riches in Christ Jesus")
- that Jesus would provide Tatenda with all he needs to take care of as many children as Jesus brings to his door, whether that is a hundred more or thousands more.
