Somalia Prayer
Please pray for the children of Somalia and their families. There is civil war in their country. Food prices have risen too high. Animals are dying. The rains have failed for 3 years so the ground which should be carpeted by thick green grass, is cracked, dry and dusty.
About 14 million people need help. The children are under-weight because they are not receiving enough food. Many are becoming weak and tired. Parents have to walk with their children for miles to feeding stations. They are stopped many times on the way by unfriendly soldiers who all want money to let them pass.
Families have left the city to try to find shelter from the advancing armies and so many now have nowhere to live. These children in the photos are waiting for food .
Lord we pray for the children and families of Somalia, that you would deliver them from unreasonable and wicked men, Lord establish them and guard them from the evil one, Visit these families with mercy. Come swiftly to their aid Lord and direct their hearts into your love. (1 Thessalonians 3:1-5) Let the people of Somalia discover the God who made them. Pour out your spirit upon them so they can know you the only true God and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.
