Please pray for the children of Serbia who are mentally disabled. They may have been born with something like Downs Syndrome where they are not able to learn like a normal child.
These children are kept in an orphanage with only one
meal a day. They are tied to their beds all night long, like an animal.
Sometimes even in the afternoon, you will still find a child who has not been untied. The children are kept in cribs or cots with bars even into their teenage years. There are not enough workers in the orphanage and the children are NOT well cared for. They get no schooling or toys, new clothes or
gifts. Nobody remembers their birthdays and nobody will say "I love
you". Nobody will teach them to know Jesus. THIS IS UNTHINKABLE!! IMPOSSIBLE!!
BUT TRUE!! God have mercy on us for letting this go on in our life time! The book of Lamentations in the Bible says this:
Arise, cry out in the night,At the beginning of the watches;
Pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord.
Lift your hands toward Him
For the life of your young children,
Who faint from hunger at the head of every street. (Lam 2:19)
Surely now is the time to cry out! Now is the time for us who have so much to pour out our hearts before the Lord, to weep and cry out. These are children, just like you. If you and I will not cry to the Lord for them, who on earth will?
One day we will stand before Jesus and He will ask us what we did for these little ones who are precious in His sight. The greatest thing we can do is to join with Jesus' own heart and pray. So let the children pray, even now. Today. Every voice counts before the Throne of our Father in heaven.
Let us give the Lord no rest until the law in Serbia is changed. Until there is a great weeping in that nation. Until every adult touches God's own heart for every child.
