Please pray for children who are right now being abused by alcoholic parents. Please also pray for children who are being treated in a way that is not just.

Please pray for our 10 - year old niece. Suddenly she had an infection and it has turned much worse. Her kidneys are shutting down and she has pneumonia. Her lungs have collapsed and it is very serious. Please pray for our niece. Jesus knows her name and He can heal her.

Lord have mercy on South Africa's leaders!
The World Cup, a football tournament for many nations, will be held in South Africa in 2010. South Africa is right next to Zimbabwe. The SA government is allowing people to go to Zimbabwe and bring back girls, with the promise of a good job. They are even saying girls who come to "work" in South Africa don't need a visa. But these girls will be used and abused in prostitution. The South Africa government knows that many men want to have a prostitute when they go to the World Cup. So they are getting ready by letting people with evil in their hearts go and get these girls now. Some are age 14 or younger! Many are orphans.
Lord, hear the cry of the poor and fatherless we pray. Stop this evil. Speak to the hearts of the leaders in South Africa and show them YOUR heart for these children. Arise, O LORD, Do not let man prevail; Let the nations be judged in Your sight. (Psalm 9:19) Lord give dreams and visions to South Africa's leaders.
We pray from Psalm 2 over South Africa in the name of Jesus Christ.
Why do the nations rage, And the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, Against the LORD and against His Anointed,...." He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; The LORD shall hold them in derision. Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, And distress them in His deep displeasure: Yet I have set My King On My holy hill of Zion."...... Now therefore, be wise, O kings; Be instructed, you judges of the earth. Serve the LORD with fear, And rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, And you perish [in] the way, When His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed [are] all those who put their trust in Him.

Update on Caleb July 2009
Please continue to pray. Caleb now needs a miracle. The doctors could not remove the tumor in his brain. Come Lord Jesus, we pray for Caleb that You, who died to give Caleb life and health, would remove that tumor from His brain. We pray that Caleb would fulfill ALL that was in Your heart when You made him. Come Lord Jesus. Come to Caleb as we pray.

Please pray for 3 year old Caleb. Mom and dad have just been told he has brain cancer. He is going to have an operation and we pray the Lord will give him life and healing.
The Bible speaks about Jesus "By His stripes we are healed" Isaiah 53:5.
So Lord Jesus we come before Your throne today and we ask you for the fullness of all that You purchased at the cross for little Caleb. We ask for complete healing, that Caleb would live out every day that was in Your heart when You made him. We pray for his mom and dad, "God of hope would you fill them with ALL joy and peace as they trust in You, that they would abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit" (Romans 15:13).

Please continue to pray. There are many people who have come to South Africa from other countries. These people are often under attack. They are beaten and even killed often right in front of their children. Many children are now upset and afraid.
Please pray for their hearts and minds. That the Lord will heal frightened children. That He will fill their hearts with His peace and cause them to forget bad things they have seen. We pray "Let ALL the children come to Jesus in South Africa, no matter what country they have come from. Let your love overflow and grow more and more into the very places where there is anger and fear. Come Lord Jesus. Pour out Your Holy Spirit in South Africa.

Nearly half of South African Children are suffering from fear and worry. Many children are hurt by evil people and even killed. South Africa is not a very safe place for children.
Let us ask the Lord to heal the children who have been so badly hurt that they still live in fear and pain. Please pray for the safety and protection of children in South Africa.
Pray from 2 Thessalonians 3:1-5
Lord please save the children of South Africa from unreasonable and wicked men and women. Let Your words of peace and comfort and compassion run swiftly to their hearts.
Hide these children Lord. Keep them under the shadow of Your wings, as the Bible says in Psalm 91. We pray for the children of South Africa. Let the eternal God be their refuge (Deut 33:27).

Please pray for us adults; we need so much more understanding of the importance of praying with our kids and we don't have a great desire to pray for our kids. Please pray that God the Holy Spirit would give us His heart for our little ones and that we would welcome them into our prayer groups and even that we would let them lead the way sometimes.

We have forgotten about Psalm 145: One generation shall praise Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty acts.
That this is a command from God for all people, whether or not they are actual moms and dads. Lord Jesus help us to obey your commands by telling of your greatness and singing of your majesty to another generation. For to obey Your commands is a way of showing our love for You. John 14:21

Blind and Paritally Sighted Children in South Africa

Please pray for chidren who are blind. "Blind" means seeing much less than normal or perhaps seeing nothing at all. Most blind chidren can see something but not very much even if they wear glasses. Have you seen an 'eye chart'? A person who is called blind could only read the very top letter if they stood 3 meters or about 9 feet away from it. *
Please also pray for children who are "partially sighted". These children have a great loss of vision which cannot be fixed or made better by wearing glasses. These children can see more than blind people but less than people who can see (called 'sighted' people). Partially sighted people can read only the top of the 'eye chart' from 6 meters or 18 feet away.

Lord God, we ask You to stretch out Your hand to heal these children (Acts 4:29-30). We pray that signs and wonders would be done in the name of Your holy servant Jesus.
Father at the same time as we pray that you would heal these children, we also ask you to make a way for each one to be able to go to a school where they are loved, and where they can learn to read and write. We pray for your plan for each of them, Lord God. We pray for each one as if they were "my brother or sister" . Give us Your heart for these children so we can pray all that You have for them and all that You want to give them. In Jesus name.
