Please pray for the women and girls of Afghanistan. Only 3 out of every 10 can see a doctor or nurse to get advice when they are pregnant. And 8 out of every 10 women have babies without any doctors, nurses or midwives to help them.  Many women and girls die while they are having a baby. If they had even  a midwife, this would not happen.

The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all He has made. Psalm 145:9

Please pray for the children of a Northern city in Afghanistan. It is very very cold well below zero. Even the water pipes have been frozen for days. Many children have to sell things on the streets so that their families can have enough food. The children have to go outside with just old shoes and no socks. Their feet can easily get frozen. This causes pain and trouble in later life. 

There are missions organizations who would like to provide help for these families. Please pray that they will have a clear road to get help to this city. Most of the children do not know Jesus. Pray that they will see Jesus; that He will show Himself to them. This has happened many times. People have suddenly had a vision of Jesus. Why not Afghanistan? Why not in this city? Why not these children and their families?

Come Lord Jesus. Come to the children and families of N Afghanistan. Come and show them a vision of You. Please give them a dream.  Let them know that You are God.  Show them Your beauty. Your love. Your power.

 Poverty and Violence

Afghanistan is a very poor country.  There is a spirit of violence and hatred everywhere.  The average family has 7 children in Afghanistan, and it is not unlikely to hear of 10 or 11.  There are children everywhere.  But they are children without hope.  The children are often beaten by their parents and then go out into the streets and beat each other up. 

"Some of the children have even threatened to kill us. I have never seen more violent children than I have seen here.  There is a great deal of abuse and bad treatment of children within their own homes. Please pray for these children."

Please Pray

  • For the salvation of 6 children we are working with from one family. 
  • Please also pray for us as we try to teach a group of children to read and write.  They have to work during the day and we want to teach them in the evening. 
  • Please pray that God will touch these children who live and work in such poor and dark places.
  • Please pray that the love of Jesus will shine through our eyes and go straight to the children's hearts.  Pray that our words would be the words of God to each child.  Pray that God would come in power with healings, signs and wonders, to rescue many children and bring many to salvation.

Lord Jesus, please deliver the children from unreasonable and wicked men. Guard them, Faithful Lord, guard these children from the evil one. Plant and keep their hearts in the love of Christ. Holy Spirit please come to Afghanistan and take the children by the hand - lead them and guide them into the love of God.
